Dardanup AeroModellers Society (inc)

The Club was established in late 2007 and a field was leased from the Shire of Dardanup at the beginning of 2008. Facilities at the field developed over the next few years and, in 2014, the Club relocated so that the Shire could continue with their gravel extraction in the area. The "new" area includes an additional and larger Clubhouse and improvements in the ground area and other facilities. The latest development - the erection of several steel posts to anchor awnings - has now been completed and a huge "Thank you" to all those members who assisted with this major project.

Members are welcome to fly any day of the week, with most flying happening on Saturday and Sunday; Wednesday and Friday mornings are popular days for our "retired" members.

For those who prefer "Indoors", we fly at different Bunbury venues and members are notified in advance of an upcoming session - a small fee for room hire applies.

The Club has a high percentage of "gas" powered aircraft and a smaller number of members flying electric powered craft, gliders, FPV, quad and helicopters. Currently, there are no restrictions on the type of aircraft which can be flown, although the high standards of safety at the Club are carefully maintained.

Training for new members is available on Saturdays and on Sundays by resident DAMS Club members who are Instructors approved by the MAAA.  The club has two trainer style aircraft, and using a buddy box, this provides a safe way for inexperienced pilots to learn new skills.
